Job Title - Project Manager.
Location - Hartford, CT - Remote/ occasionally onsite.
Long Term

The project involves the upgrade and modernization of the existing submissions portal currently used for submitting the data to the agency.
Over time, parts of the portal s user interface have become outdated and no longer serve the agency s needs, creating the need for rescoping and redevelopment.
 
SCOPE OF WORK
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the project timeline and ensure milestones are met for the Submission Portal Upgrade.
  • Identify, assign, and monitor project tasks and deliverables across participating teams.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues and escalate concerns to leadership as needed.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings with program staff, technical personnel, and leadership to track progress and align priorities.
  • Develop and distribute status reports, dashboards, and documentation to provide visibility and transparency to stakeholders.
  • Utilize project and task management platforms such as and Azure DevOps to maintain a structured and standardized project management approach.
  • Coordinate with the agency PMO for reporting, compliance, and alignment with enterprise project management standards.
  • Receive daily directions from the IT Customer Success Manager & IT Supervisor, with administrative oversight and support from the agency PMO.
 
Qualifications / Skills:
* Proven experience managing data or analytics-focused projects, preferably in public health, healthcare, or government settings.
  • * Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools such as and Azure DevOps.
  • * Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • * Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings, track progress, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • * Familiarity with data visualization and analytics platforms is a plus.
  • * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports and status updates.
  • * Experience coordinating with IT departments and working within enterprise governance frameworks.
  • * PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • * Experience in a public health or another state agency is helpful but not mandatory
