Role: Senior GIS Developer
Location: Washington D.C.(Onsite)
Duration: Long-term contract

Job Description:
Seeking a Senior GIS Developer to support enterprise-level application development and system integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise platform and various programming tools to design, develop, and integrate custom GIS applications. This role focuses on building seamless integrations between the ArcGIS platform and other key business systems, ensuring reliable data flow and operational efficiency across the organization. The position requires an experienced developer capable of working independently on complex, concurrent projects, bringing expertise in geospatial analysis, database management, and system integration best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain custom ArcGIS applications using the Esri development platform and standard programming languages.
  • Design and implement integrations between ArcGIS Enterprise and other business systems/applications.
  • Perform advanced tasks including database management (SQL Server), ArcGIS data and map service management, geoprocessing, and geospatial analysis.
  • Create, enhance, and document best practices, workflows, and standards for GIS system integration and solution development.
  • Utilize third-party APIs and middleware to ensure robust system connectivity.
  • Manage multiple development and integration projects simultaneously, maintaining high-quality standards and documentation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or GIS.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and system integration using standard programming methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in the following technologies:
    • Esri tools: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro/Desktop
    • Programming languages: Python, JavaScript
    • Database management: SQL Server
    • Integration: Use of third-party APIs and middleware
  • Proven expertise in ArcGIS data/map service management, geoprocessing, and map compilation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience integrating ArcGIS platforms with other applications using APIs and middleware.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder for application and widget development/configuration.
