Responsibilities for the Animal Care Technician include:
- Perform daily Animal husbandry duties such as health check, cage changing, and waste disposal
- Manage laboratory sanitation and environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature
- Assist in basic veterinary care for animals housed within the vivarium
- Oversee vivarium supplies and resources
- Provide support to rodent breeding colonies
- Maintain logs and research documentation in accordance with company standards
Qualifications for the Animal Care Technician include:
- Minimum of 1 year of animal husbandry
- Technical experience with animal breeding, tissue sampling, harvesting, collection, and rodent mouse models
- HS Diploma or BS in biology related field required
- American Association of Laboratory Animal Sciences certification at the ALAT level preferred
Compensation for the Animal Care Technician include:
- Salary Range is $20.00-$22.00/hr
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law
