ServiceNow Developer (Tokyo Release Expertise)

We're seeking a talented ServiceNow Developer to join our team and take advantage of the exciting new features and functionalities introduced in the Tokyo release. You'll play a key role in customizing and extending our ServiceNow platform to streamline processes, enhance user experience, and drive business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, scripts, and UI elements using the latest Tokyo release features (e.g., Automated Test Framework, Virtual Agent enhancements).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate their needs into effective ServiceNow solutions, prioritizing low-code/no-code approaches whenever possible.
  • Configure and customize core ServiceNow modules, such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, and the Service Catalog.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise applications using APIs and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and functionality.
  • Document code and configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest ServiceNow releases, features, and best practices, mainly focusing on the Tokyo release.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage Tokyo release functionalities to improve workflows and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow-related issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with the development team.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with expertise in an enterprise-level environment.
  • Experience supporting the customization, administration, and configuration of the ServiceNow tool.
  • Experience with HTML, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Service Catalog and Service Portal within ServiceNow.
  • Experience with the Tokyo release. Experience upgrading to Vancouver is a (plus)
  • Experience with creating and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Portal, and Service Catalog Automation System/Process Automation (Orchestration).
  • Prior experience integrating ServiceNow to other applications and ability to adapt existing methods and procedures to create possible solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in plain language.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / Serena / SVN.
