Position Summary

Provide Tier 2 Integration Support for 4G and 5G technologies.

Role and Responsibilities

Duties: Provide Tier 2 Integration Support for 4G and 5G technologies. Provide frequent Alarm Monitoring Activity Report for new deployments. Provide expert technical engineering support to the C & I Team during maintenance window (MW) of actual Migration and deployment. Provide effective technical guidance to the Deployment team to resolve issues by providing back-office engineering support to Field technicians. Develop and deliver engineering solutions and strong customer technical support through experience with wireless network architecture, protocols, RF optimization and standards. Provide 24/7 on-call engineering support as needed for commercial Network outages and network performance issues. Provide technical reviews and provide support to customers. Develop Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on outages or market performance issues, including throughput, accessibility, sustainability, handovers, capacity and coverage. Review various Engineering MOPs and identify missing steps or issues. Proactively perform data audit, software audit, and health check of the OSS. Collect logs and perform log analysis for discussions with Tier3 and HQ on technical issues. Resolve high severity issues to meet the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements - 2nd level incident analysis. Provide updates and resolutions on open tickets. Provide Alarm Monitoring and Troubleshooting to resolve alarms in Post Migration to Acceptance. Work in Samsung's System Integration lab, customer labs, and commercial networks for reproducing, troubleshooting and investigating performance related issues. Develop engineering tools and scripts to automate tasks on OSS and eNBs to aide with the investigation.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as Professional II, Network System Technical Support or related occupation in Tier 2 Integration Support in the telecommunication industry. The five (5) years of experience must have included: (1) Experience with eNB, RRH, DRAN, CRAN, 5G Nodes - RAN Equipment and functioning; (2) Experience with Alarm Resolutions including hardware, Alarms, RET and RSSI; and (3) Experience with RLC/MAC layer, control channel and traffic channels, network access procedures, power control, handover algorithms, QoS types, TDD/FDD modes, and HARQ/ARQ concepts.

Travel Requirement: 10% domestic travel required.
