Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. Must have hands-on experience in Snowflake development, SQL, and data warehousing concepts with strong expertise in pipeline architecture and metadata management.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake and DBT for scalable data solutions.
- Implement data models and manage data warehousing concepts, including metadata management, data lakes, and multi-dimensional models.
- Perform query performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake cloud environments to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Leverage advanced Snowflake features such as Time Travel and Zero-Copy Cloning for data recovery and replication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical leads, providing guidance on data architecture and integration strategies.
- Ensure compliance with design patterns and best practices, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in SQL and Snowflake environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake development.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake features (Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning), data modeling, and query performance tuning in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in DBT for pipeline development, knowledge of data warehousing concepts, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
