Our direct client is looking for Sr. Business Data Analyst for Data Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and understand business requirements related to data engineering and analytics
  • Refine user stories from a technical perspective and prepare documentation for data pipelines and analytics workflows
  • Clarify business objectives, understand primary goals, and translate them into technical solutions
  • Write Acceptance Criteria in a suitable & testable format for testing data pipelines and analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with the team to document data flow diagrams and system integration diagrams

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in professional IT roles, with at least 2 years of experience as a Technical Analyst in an Agile environment
  • Technical understanding of software development, SDLC, and data engineering concepts
  • Experience working with APIs, technical story writing, and data analysis
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Previous experience operating in a role that required analyzing and optimizing data workflows

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to independently multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Apache Airflow is a plus
  • Proficiency in tracing data and user flows with minimal guidance
  • Experience with Jira or another sprint tracking/ticketing system
  • Strong critical thinking skills to determine the best outcomes and resolutions
  • Research-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
  • Growth-minded professional who demonstrates initiative in both team environments and independently
