Fortran / R / C++ Developer (US Cit to pass Security Clearance)

We are seeking to hire a Fortran / R / C++ Developer to join our team working on a new multi-year award we have within a large Federal Gov’t Agency in Washington, DC.  This role is 100% remote.

Being a US Cit is REQUIRED for passing the Security Clearance to work on this program (ability to pass Public Trust at minimum).

This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).

An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.

Technical Skills:

·        FORTRAN Programming Language - Intermediate / 3+ years

·        R Programming – Intermediate

·        C++ Programming Language – Intermediate

Role Description:

This developer role will focus on completing a backlog of IT tasks that would incorporate agency research and put it in the hands of managers to make better informed decisions about active projects. An example of the type of tasks needed are:

·        Coding a new version of various models into the system.

·        Updating the Inventory data and Analysis Algorithm into the system.

·        Incorporating specific algorithms into the base code

Must Have Skills:

·        Developer/ Engineer with Fortran, R, C++ experience.

Nice to Have Skills:

·        Someone with a strong math and coding background. Someone who has a Natural Resource or Biological Sciences background as they would need less staff oversight because they would understand the real-life application of the code they are implementing.

·        At least 3 years of experience (with bachelors), 7 years of experience (without bachelors).
