The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for overseeing the strategy, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide applications. This role ensures that the organization's software systems support business operations and objectives effectively and efficiently. The Director will lead a team of application specialists and collaborate with various departments to optimize the use of technology solutions.
Utility industry experience is a major plus and will receive higher priority consideration.
Job Duties/Responsibilities-
Develop and execute a strategic plan for enterprise applications that aligns with the company's business goals.

Lead and mentor a team of application developers, analysts, and support staff.

Oversee the implementation of new applications and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.

Ensure seamless integration of enterprise applications with other IT systems and platforms.

Develop and manage the budget for the enterprise applications department.

Ensure that all applications comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Provide high-level support and training to end-users to maximize the effectiveness of enterprise applications.

Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Experience
-
10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing enterprise applications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in enterprise application platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), project management software, and database management.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.

Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects from inception to completion.
Certifications (Preferred)

PMP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.
Other Requirements

Must be willing to relocate to Louisiana.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.

Master's degree preferred.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned, within scope of responsibilities.

Job duties are performed in a normal and clean office environment with standard noise levels.

Work is predominately done while standing or sitting.
