Electrical Engineer PE

Introduction

This position at Spectrum Design in Roanoke, VA is for a licensed Electrical Engineer with experience in design and construction administration. The role will involve working on building designs for power, lighting, and data, with a focus on utilizing AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for buildings, including power, lighting, and data
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to create integrated building designs
• Prepare and review technical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
• Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure design feasibility and compliance
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
• Supervise junior engineers and provide mentorship as needed
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5+ years of experience in building design for power, lighting, and data
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit software

Preferred Skills:

• Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes
