Introduction
This position at Spectrum Design in Roanoke, VA is for a licensed Electrical Engineer with experience in design and construction administration. The role will involve working on building designs for power, lighting, and data, with a focus on utilizing AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit software.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for buildings, including power, lighting, and data
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to create integrated building designs
- Prepare and review technical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
- Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure design feasibility and compliance
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
- Supervise junior engineers and provide mentorship as needed
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5+ years of experience in building design for power, lighting, and data
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit software
Preferred Skills:
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes
