Position: Database Analyst

Location: Onsite St. Louis, MO

Type: Contract


Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain logical and physical database models to support MSDCARS.

  • Develop and manage the project's database schema design and ER diagrams, ensuring clear definitions and relationships.

  • Create and implement database schemas, tables, stored procedures, and functions.

  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and scalability across applications.

  • Collaborate with SQL Server Database Administrators to optimize query performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and resolve database issues.

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align data models with reporting, compliance, and governance requirements.



Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Architect, Data Modeler, or equivalent role.

  • Strong expertise in SQL Server database modeling and design.

  • Hands-on experience with DDL, DML, and DQL in SQL Server.

  • Solid understanding of normalization, data integrity, and relational database best practices.

  • Exposure to SSRS is an added advantage.



Preferred Skills/Certifications

  • Experience working in compliance-driven or government reporting environments.

  • Relevant data management certifications (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) are a plus.
