Overview:
Cloud and Things is looking for an Senior IT Product Specialist to provide operational support of business-critical IT applications for a public sector client. This role serves as the central coordination point between users, developers, vendors, and internal IT teams, ensuring application stability, resolving issues efficiently, and driving enhancements that improve user experience and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison for issue resolution between end-users, developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams.

Investigate, document, and manage application issues, including root cause analysis and resolution tracking.

Coordinate the implementation of application enhancements (minor and major), including requirement gathering and testing support.

Document business workflows, system topologies, and change impacts.

Present technical documentation (e.g., system topologies) to Architecture Review Board (ARB).

Lead and support system testing: develop test plans/scripts and coordinate UAT.

Manage application-related security and compliance processes (SSAP, Rapid7 scans, HIPAA, audits).

Assist with software deployments, updates, and post-production support.

Track enhancement requests and monitor progress in Salesforce-based project tracker.

Facilitate cloud services agreements and ensure vendor compliance with agency standards.
Mandatory Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

6+ years supporting enterprise IT applications in a client-facing or cross-functional support role.

Proven ability to troubleshoot multi-tier web applications and resolve technical issues.

Proficient in SQL and familiar with Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Experience working with cloud-based or SaaS applications.

Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills-able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Working knowledge of XML, HTML, JavaScript, .NET, ASP (for debugging or vendor coordination purposes).

Experience with public sector or healthcare IT systems.

Exposure to data analysis, visualization, and reporting practices.

Familiarity with compliance processes (HIPAA, cybersecurity audits, vulnerability remediation).

Experience using Salesforce or similar tracking tools.
