Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile financial systems modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business process analysis, systems documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in both technical and non-technical environments.


Project Overview

You will contribute to a multi-year state-level financial management transformation project aimed at modernizing accounting and cash management systems. Your initial focus will be on analyzing the Chart of Accounts and assessing impacts on core business functions, systems, and workflows. This includes coordination across multiple business units, reengineering processes, and helping align current systems with the new standardized business models.


Responsibilities

Analyze and document business systems and processes impacted by financial system changes.

Lead workshops with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.

Develop user stories and maintain product backlog using Azure DevOps.

Conduct process mapping and impact assessments across departments.

Design and execute test plans and test cases for systems remediation.

Collaborate with QA and Development teams to support test and release cycles.

Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, test results, and business processes.

Provide oversight for deliverables ensuring compliance with standards.


Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in Business Process and Systems Analysis.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Visio for process modeling.

Strong SQL skills for writing queries and performing data analysis.

Experience working with Microsoft DevOps/Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with IBM Mainframe, distributed, and cloud computing environments.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with large-scale public sector or financial systems.

Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 through 60GG-5.

Background in data migration, testing, change management, or quality assurance.

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Experience using Power BI, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Project.
