Sr Business Analyst
Initial 6-12 Month Contract
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)


Primary Responsibilities

Team Oversight and Management
Lead and manage a Requirements Traceability team consisting of 3 resources.
Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure delivery milestones are met.
Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering professional development.

Requirements Traceability Ownership
Oversee the end-to-end Requirements Traceability process, ensuring all project requirements are captured, linked, validated, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure traceability matrices are accurate, complete, and updated in alignment with evolving project needs.

Business Systems Analysis (BSA) Support
Serve as the primary Business Systems Analysis resource for the client, offering expertise in gathering, documenting, analyzing, and validating business and system requirements.
Assist client stakeholders in defining business needs and translating them into technical and functional requirements.

Client Advisory and Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders by providing recommendations on BSA best practices, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.
Facilitate working sessions and stakeholder meetings to validate requirements and align expectations.

Key Skill Areas
Business Systems Analysis
Strong proficiency in documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements within financial services contexts.
Financial Services Domain Knowledge
Demonstrated understanding of financial services operations, regulatory requirements, and technology systems.

Team Leadership
Ability to lead small teams effectively, balancing coaching, task delegation, and accountability.
Create a collaborative team environment that emphasizes quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels.
Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication, proactive updates, and delivery of high-quality work products.

Additional Expectations
Identify risks and issues related to requirements management early and propose mitigation strategies.
Promote and enforce the use of standardized templates, tools, and best practices for documentation and traceability.
Support project management functions as needed, including status reporting, issue tracking, and resource planning.
Continuously monitor and adapt to client priorities and project changes
