Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (AWS)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with deep expertise in AWS and a strong understanding of financial systems, particularly Tax and Corporate Actions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-availability environments, excels at disaster recovery planning, and enjoys building scalable, cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain resilient infrastructure on AWS using services such as EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
  • Conduct and automate disaster recovery testing to ensure system reliability and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support Java/Spring Boot-based
    • microservices and APIs.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize reliability across distributed systems.
    • Apply domain knowledge in Tax and/or Corporate Actions to support critical financial applications.
    • Develop and maintain runbooks, incident response plans, and SRE best practices.
    • Drive continuous improvement in deployment pipelines, observability, and fault tolerance.

  • Required Skills & Experience:

    • 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kafka.
    • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend service support.
    • Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution in cloud environments.
    • Familiarity with financial services, especially Tax and Corporate Actions workflows.
    • Solid understanding of CI/CD, monitoring tools, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
