Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects. This long-term contract position is based in Southfield, Michigan, and requires an individual who can lead diverse teams, manage project scopes, and ensure timely completion of objectives. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders, making it critical for the candidate to possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
Lead technology projects through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle, applying appropriate project methodologies and maintaining adherence to quality standards.
Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and develop project schedules under the guidance of senior leadership.
Communicate business cases to project teams to guide decision-making and prioritize tasks effectively.
Serve as the primary liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to address project status, issues, and risks.
Create and maintain detailed project plans, including financial forecasting and tracking.
Collaborate with other departments to define project scope, secure resources, and ensure readiness for implementation.
Review and evaluate project deliverables to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance with organizational policies.
Coach and mentor less-experienced team members, fostering growth and development within the team.
Facilitate communication with executive leadership to report on project progress and highlight key milestones.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred, along with at least ten years of project management experience.
Strong familiarity with project management methodologies, including PMBOK guidelines and Agile practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Advanced communication and leadership skills for effective stakeholder management and team collaboration.
Certifications such as Project Management Detail-Oriented (PMP) or Agile Certification are highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in financial forecasting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Proficiency in tools and techniques for planning, reporting, and monitoring project progress.
Ability to mentor team members and lead diverse groups in a matrixed environment.
