Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer

Location: Remote

Rate: 60hr

Security Clearance: IRS MBI clearance (must already be in place)

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support modernization initiatives for a federal agency. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining Salesforce applications used for data correction and workflow automation within critical programs. The developer will collaborate closely with agency teams to design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions that improve user experience, streamline processing, and support compliance operations.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions for federal programs, including experience and compliance teams.
  • Build and configure Salesforce components such as custom objects, workflows, triggers, Lightning components, and APIs.
  • Integrate Salesforce with backend systems and cloud services (e.g., AWS).
  • Support migration of legacy mainframe applications to cloud-based platforms, ensuring Salesforce integration aligns with new architecture.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet federal security, compliance, and data integrity standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design and configuration guides.
  • Provide support for testing activities, including functional and automation testing during system transitions.


Experience Requirements: Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce platform.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices for large-scale deployments.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data model, role hierarchy, and security configuration.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II or other advanced Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience in government or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and data integration concepts.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Confluent Kafka and ServiceNow.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
