We are looking for a QA Lead to play a pivotal role in leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring that systems meet business requirements. In this role, you will actively engage in meetings, review relevant requirements, and design documents, and gain a deep understanding of business requirements. Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you will provide valuable insights during project artifact reviews. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely in the defect resolution process and other project activities, fostering strong partnerships with clients and other stakeholders.

Duties

  • Conduct all testing and evaluation of project initiatives, identifying issues in software or services.
  • Analyze discrepancies in service or performance and provide recommendations for product or service updates.
  • Plan and lead all UAT testing, including organizing, coordinating, and monitoring testing efforts.
  • Monitor defects, create defect reports, and collaborate with vendors and the state to resolve defects/bugs.
  • Ensure that software testing is conducted on-time and as planned, promptly notifying management of bottlenecks, issues, and risks.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience on one or more Eligibility, Medicaid, or Health and Human Services (HHS) IT projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience involved in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in creating and running detailed test scripts that align with business requirements (including using test automation, developing and executing test scripts, and test plans).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with both internal and external contacts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, such as Word, Excel, and online applications.
  • Experience with defect/bug management and familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Bugzilla, JIRA JAMA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with requirements traceability matrix.
  • Proficiency in creating testing requirements from design documents, functional requirements, etc.
  • Understanding of testing phases, testing entrance and exit criteria.
  • Knowledge of testing data creation and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with development tools and development languages.
  • Knowledge of the MMIS Member/Provider Services Modules.
