Job Title: Azure Enterprise Architect
Location: Richmond, VA Remote but monthly onsite meetings required
Interview: Web cam

Job Description:

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade solutions on Microsoft Azure.

  • Lead the development of cloud-native architecture strategies and hybrid cloud solutions.

  • Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards using tools like Bicep and Terraform.

  • Design secure and scalable architectures leveraging Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, and Identity services.

  • Use Azure services such as Azure Resource Manager, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Azure Security Center.

  • Provide expertise in Azure SQL Managed Instance and related data services.

  • Implement and manage containerized workloads with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Helm.

  • Drive cloud strategy, governance, security, and cost management best practices.

  • Utilize CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to support automated deployments.

  • Guide architecture reviews, technical documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance and other Azure database services. Required 5 Years
Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service and containerization (Docker, Helm, etc.) Required 5 Years
Proven ability to lead cloud strategy and roadmap discussions with enterprise stakeholders. Required 5 Years
Understanding of cloud governance, cost management, and security best practices. Required 5 Years
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps or GitHub actions. Required 5 Years
Competent with PowerShell, Bicep, and Terraform for Azure automation and provisioning. Required 5 Years
Strong grasp of Zero Trust Architecture, RBAC, Azure AD, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, NIST). Required 5 Years
Ability to design and review secure architectures at scale. Required 5 Years
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Required 5 Years
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, security, and business leaders. Required 5 Years
Recognized relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Cybersecurity Architect Expert highly desired. Highly desired 5 Years
