Description
The Enterprise Data & AI Governance Manager is responsible for leading and managing our clients data governance program, ensuring the proper use, protection, and value creation of enterprise data assets. This role oversees cross-functional workgroups and initiatives related to artificial intelligence (AI), data literacy, security and privacy, data quality, data architecture, and research. Along with the Data Governance Committee, the manager will establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and standards that enable the collaborating partners to maximize the value of its data while ensuring compliance, ethical use, and trustworthiness. This role is critical in advancing data maturity, ensuring data is secure, high quality, trustworthy, ethically used, and leveraged as a strategic asset to support decision-making, compliance, innovation, and research excellence of the clients data assets.
Program Leadership & Strategy
o Develop, implement, and manage the enterprise-wide data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
o Facilitate the alignment of governance objectives with business strategy, compliance, and ethical use of data.
o Monitor and report on data governance program maturity and progress.
o Lead change management activities to promote acceptance and ensure continuing success of approved changes.
Workgroup Management
o Lead and coordinate cross-functional data governance workgroups, including:
AI & Emerging Technology Governance - oversee responsible AI usage, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance. Understand the objectives and requirements of the AI projects and prioritization of the work.
Data Literacy - foster a culture of data-driven decision-making through training, resources, and awareness programs.
Data Security & Privacy - partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to enforce security standards, access controls, and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Data Architecture - collaborate with IT and architecture teams to ensure alignment between governance, infrastructure, and data management platforms.
Research & Innovation - support responsible data use for research, innovation, and advanced analytics.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
o Partner with the eight health institutions, the data governance committee, business leaders, compliance, and security teams to establish governance and strategy for the data assets.
o Serve as a key liaison across business units, ensuring stakeholder engagement and adoption of governance practices and support a culture of collaboration.
o Communicate of governance initiatives, progress, and value to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
o Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements related to data usage.
o Develop risk mitigation strategies to address data misuse, breaches, and compliance gaps.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred) or commensurate experience

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $95.00/hr.
