Oracle HCM Cloud Functional Consultant (Core HR & Talent Management )
Location: Franklin, Tennessee, USA
Industry: Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare experience highly preferred)
Experience Required: 12+ years overall; 5+ years in Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion)
Employment Type: Contract
75% Travel is required at the Initial stage of the Project
Reporting: Direct interaction with the President and C-Suite executives
About the Role: High-visibility role with a prestigious life sciences client. Seeking a seasoned Oracle HCM Cloud Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Core HR and Talent Management modules to lead strategic transformations, optimize enterprise HR processes, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and optimization of Oracle HCM Cloud modules, with primary focus on Core HR (Global HR, Workforce Structures, Employment Model) and Talent Management (Performance Management, Goal Management, Succession Planning, Talent Review, Career Development, Learning Management)
- Design and configure Core HR foundational elements including organization structures, jobs, positions, grades, locations, and security profiles
- Architect Talent Management solutions including performance templates, goal libraries, talent pools, calibration processes, succession plans, and learning catalogs
- Gather and analyze business requirements from HR and talent stakeholders; translate into functional designs, workflows, approval processes, eligibility rules, and Fast Formulas
- Configure advanced Talent Management features such as 9-box matrices, talent ratings, development plans, and integration with recruiting and compensation
- Develop and deliver HCM extracts, OTBI dashboards, BI Publisher reports, and analytics focused on Core HR and Talent insights
- Ensure compliance with life sciences industry standards (GxP, SOX, audit readiness) and support validation protocols
- Collaborate on integrations with third-party systems and other HCM modules (e.g., Compensation, Payroll, Time & Labor)
- Provide production support, troubleshoot functional issues, manage quarterly updates, and drive continuous process improvements
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and user adoption programs; present strategies and roadmaps to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of Oracle HCM experience with at least 5+ years hands-on in Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion)
- Multiple full-lifecycle implementations as functional lead, with strong expertise in Core HR and Talent Management modules
- Deep functional knowledge of Core HR data model, HCM security, personalizations, and Talent Management processes (performance, goals, succession, learning)
- Proven experience configuring Fast Formulas, eligibility profiles, workflows, and page composer for Core HR and Talent scenarios
- Hands-on proficiency with HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, OTBI, BI Publisher, and analytics
- Demonstrated executive presence and ability to interact directly with C-suite stakeholders
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries highly preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, validation requirements, and global HR practices
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor s degree required; Oracle HCM Cloud certifications (Core HR and/or Talent Management) highly desirable
