Position: Network Engineer (Contract) - B2B Connectivity & Infrastructure Projects
Location: Hybrid - Iselin, NJ (Metropark)
Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week

About the Role

We are seeking two experienced Network Engineers to support a critical business-to-business (B2B) network migration initiative. This role involves designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise WAN and LAN environments, with a focus on connectivity to financial exchanges and partner organizations. The ideal candidate is proactive, operates independently, and brings a strong mix of technical expertise and project coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement B2B network connectivity solutions, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and point-to-point topologies.
  • Configure and troubleshoot VPNs over public internet and private WAN circuits.
  • Support connectivity to financial institutions, including Bloomberg and other stock exchanges.
  • Manage network migrations and client transitions across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and network diagrams.
  • Participate in Agile workflows using tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Execute network changes following established change control processes.
Technical Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Network Engineering or equivalent (military, education, consulting).
  • 7-9 years of experience designing and supporting LAN/WAN/Datacenter networks in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, RIP
    • Layer 2 technologies: VLANs, STP, LACP, inter-VLAN routing
    • Cisco Catalyst 8500/8300 routers and Arista 8120 switches
    • VPN technologies and NAT configurations
  • Experience with financial industry networks and extranet connectivity.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project tracking tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent Arista certification
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and engage cross-functional teams
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
