Reports Analyst

Introduction:

The Reports Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions. They will work with various tools such as Windows PowerShell, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to extract and manipulate data related to insurance claims and policy information.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in SQL querying/scripts to extract and manipulate data.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Experience with PowerShell or Power Automate is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau preferred, but not required for creating visualizations.
  • Capable of working with staged data and creating logic behind it, such as data mapping.
  • Utilize data mining techniques to identify trends and patterns in insurance claims and policy data.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL querying/scripts.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Windows PowerShell, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry terms and concepts related to claims and policy data.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PowerShell or Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
  • Ability to work with staged data and create data mapping logic.
  • Understanding of service lines such as workers' compensation, liability, and property.
