Type: Contract for 3-6 months (possible contract to hire)
Hourly Rate: $55-$70/hour (depending on experience)
Position Overview
The IT Project Manager will lead, run, and coordinate technology projects of varying complexity-from small enhancements to large-scale implementations. This role will have a particular focus on applications and software initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business needs. Experience in the construction or industrial services industry is highly desirable to better understand project stakeholders, workflows, and industry-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects from initiation through completion, with an emphasis on applications and software systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and third-party contractors to ensure seamless execution.
Monitor and manage project budgets, risks, and changes in scope.
Facilitate regular status meetings, providing clear updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with company and industry requirements.
Maintain project documentation, including requirements, testing plans, and post-project reviews.
Leverage construction industry knowledge to bridge communication between technical teams and business units.
Qualifications
5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably with significant focus on applications and software projects.
PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certifications preferred.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
Construction or industrial services industry experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work onsite daily at Westminster office.
