Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DC Lab Technician to oversee laboratory operations and provide exceptional technical support in the assembly, installation, and testing of development platforms and server systems. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of our lab, supporting various projects, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality in testing and equipment management. The position is full-time and based in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, build, and install bench top development platforms and large server systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage all aspects of lab operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to lab users, assisting with equipment setup and troubleshooting to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with the lab support team to complete both large-scale and minor lab projects efficiently.
  • Conduct detailed system tests, collect data, and report findings to support the development and refinement of technological solutions.
  • Handle lab logistics related to shipping and receiving, including the management of equipment and material inventory.
  • Supervise the setup and use of lab benches, ensuring optimal utilization of space and resources.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new and ongoing projects, providing reliable support and guidance to team members.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma, Certification, Associate, or Bachelor s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an electronic or testing lab environment, with a focus on silicon bringup, board-level design/validation, or system design/validation.
  • Proven expertise in the use of oscilloscopes, including setup, calibration, and operation across various models.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux command line operations and system-level debugging.
  • Experience with board bring-up, system assembly, and providing customer or client technical support.
  • Ability to perform simple solder reworks and mechanical reworks using tools like Dremel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for diagnosing issues in electronic circuits and systems.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of documenting and reporting test results clearly.
  • Experience with server management processors and data center operations is highly desirable.
