Job Overview
VDOT is seeking a Senior IT Lead Dynamics Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in solution design, development, and support while also bringing strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, design, configure, implement, test, and support Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
Lead development and customization efforts for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Operations).
Design and develop new components using .NET, SQL, Azure, Power Platform, and C#.
Troubleshoot and resolve Dynamics 365 technical issues; document fixes and coordinate with administrators and IT teams.
Provide expertise in Microsoft licensing models for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
Define and enforce best practices and governance for platform usage at VDOT.
Prepare documentation, prototypes, and solution recommendations based on business needs.
Act as a liaison between IT and business units for issue management and solution delivery.
Recommend efficient solutions by aligning requirements with available Microsoft technologies.
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, policies, and standards within the Business Enablement Services program.
(Preferred) Experience with DevOps in Power Platform (Power Pipelines/ALM Accelerator).
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (customization, configuration, development, deployment).
Strong background in .NET, SQL, C#, Azure.
Solid understanding of Power Platform licensing and governance models.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and remediate technical issues in Dynamics 365.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written & verbal).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Experience in reviewing/refining IT processes and aligning them with organizational priorities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Flexibility to provide after-hours/on-call support when required.
