Description
The Packaging Graphic Designer is responsible for executing art direction for retail packaging and kitting projects to support our customer and company's strategic business goals. These projects center mostly around graphic design, specifically for packaging. This person will be expected to bring creativity, innovation and ownership to projects and will collaborate with their functional partners and internal teams to work through projects from concept to completion.
Job Responsibilities: Briefly describe what this person would be accountable for in their performance reviews (e.g., project implementation, report creation, process management, trade-off decisions). List the accountabilities in order of importance to the enterprise.
Develop quality design-driven solutions, on time and within budget, to solve for business opportunities.
Develop and execute art direction for retail packaging and kitting programs.
Work with team members and project managers to prioritize projects and workload.
Work with external customer teams to ensure project success.
Develop presentations and present work to internal groups and customers.
Interpret feedback and offer appropriate solutions.
Develop mood boards to establish potential design direction.
Stay current with marketplace trends, software updates, industry standards and technology develoments and reflect marketplace and design trends in work.
Requirements
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:Briefly describe the knowledge, skills, demonstrated behaviors and experience required for entry into the position/role
Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in brand and graphic design (or relevant level of talent + experience).
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Proactive and results oriented.
Detail oriented
Ability to plan / prioritize activities.
Ability to build trust with the team and partners.
Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and challenging assignment simultaneously
Fundamental understanding of:
-graphic design
-brand strategy
-retail & e-commence design
-packaging design and construction
-retail display and fixture design
-printing techniques, finishes and materials
Understanding of print production
Microsoft PowerPoint
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
