- The Data Engineering and Power BI Support Specialist is responsible for onboarding teams to enterprise data lake environments, managing user access, resolving data and reporting-related issues, and ensuring smooth platform operation.
- This role supports both data engineering environments and Power BI users by handling access requests, monitoring usage, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with internal teams for platform optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Onboard teams on EDL/EDSP clusters.
- Share documentation on data ingestion, processing, storage, and access services
- Guide users through token refresh processes and resolve token expiry issues
- Monitor the Slack channel for user queries and respond accordingly
- Assist users with data-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions
- Collaborate with the SRE team to address data lake operations tickets and escalate issues as needed.
- Offer feedback for platform improvements based on user experiences.
- Share documentation and respond to end-user Power BI questions.
- Triage and resolve Power BI issues while communicating effectively with users.
- Assist with workspace upgrades and coordinate administrative approvals.
- Monitor IT Power BI capacity utilization and take corrective actions.
- Ensure performance and quality of Power BI reports and dashboards.
