Job Overview:

The Texas Health Department is seeking a seasoned Software Developer (SailPoint Consultant) to support a mission-critical Identity and Access Management (IAM) project. This position requires hands-on expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ and Okta SSO integrations within an enterprise or government setting. The selected candidate will play a vital role in strengthening security infrastructure and enabling seamless authentication across platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure, and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ components.

  • Design and deploy Okta SSO solutions for secure application access.

  • Integrate IAM solutions with third-party and internal platforms.

  • Analyze and translate business requirements into secure IAM solutions.

  • Troubleshoot, patch, and maintain IAM systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

  • Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

  • Expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ (development & integration).

  • Strong experience with Okta and identity federation protocols.

  • Familiarity with Azure AD and other cloud-based IAM platforms.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Previous government project experience is highly preferred.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with custom SailPoint connectors, access certifications, and provisioning workflows.

  • Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP compliance standards.
