Job Description

Pride Health is hiring for an MRI Tech to support our client s medical facility based in Elmhurst, NY. This is a local contract/travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Duties:

Job Summary:

Performs MRI procedures ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and quality control.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients prior to MRI for safety screening
  • Use two patient identifiers to confirm identity before imaging
  • Explain MRI procedure to patients and respond to questions or concerns
  • Operate and adjust MRI equipment; select proper technical factors and software parameters
  • Ensure safety of all personnel and visitors in magnetic field zone 4
  • Position patients properly and monitor them throughout scan
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment
  • Perform equipment function checks, calibration, and report malfunctions
  • Maintain inventory of MRI supplies
  • Evaluate images for quality and accuracy; ensure proper labeling and ID
  • Present completed images to radiologists
  • Use EMR for documentation and to access relevant patient data
  • Keep accurate patient records and scan results
  • Perform related duties as assigned


Skills:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year of MRI experience in an acute setting
  • Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • Knowledge of GE MRI equipment


Education:

Required Education:

  • Associate s degree from a Radiologic Technology program


Certifications & Licensure:

Required:

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license (NYSDOH)
  • Advanced MRI certification from ARRT or ARMRIT

Preferred:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA


Additional Details-:

  • Shift: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM
  • Alternating weekends and holidays required
  • In-person interviews mandatory
  • Training Schedule: 2 weeks, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (includes EPIC class)
  • Hourly Pay Range/Salary Range: $55-$60


*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
