About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in AI-driven analytics, private equity, and investment banking operations. The ideal candidate will support strategic decision-making by analyzing investment opportunities, evaluating financial models, optimizing business processes, and partnering with data and product teams to embed AI capabilities into core business workflows.

This role requires a mix of financial acumen, advanced analytical skills, and hands-on experience supporting PE transactions, portfolio optimization, and AI-enabled insights.


Key Responsibilities

Private Equity & Investment Banking Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive market, industry, and financial analysis to support investment strategies and deal execution.

  • Evaluate target companies, analyze operational KPIs, and support due diligence activities.

  • Prepare investment memoranda, financial summaries, and portfolio performance dashboards.

  • Partner with investment teams to strengthen deal models, risk assessments, and value creation strategies.

AI, Data, and Technology Initiatives

  • Translate business objectives into AI/ML model requirements, working closely with data science and engineering teams.

  • Drive adoption of AI-powered insights, automations, and analytics tools across investment and portfolio management teams.

  • Improve business workflows using predictive analytics, NLP, and process automation.

  • Identify opportunities for technology innovation within PE, M&A, and financial operations.

Business Process & Strategy

  • Lead requirements gathering, roadmap planning, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

  • Develop KPIs, reporting dashboards, and performance frameworks to support portfolio optimization.

  • Conduct gap analyses and propose operational improvements across finance, investment, and portfolio teams.

  • Document business requirements (BRDs), technical requirements, user stories, and process flows.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or financial technology.

  • Strong knowledge of PE deal lifecycle, financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.

  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, data analytics, and automation tools.

  • Expertise in tools such as Power BI/Tableau, SQL, Python (preferred), and CRM/ERP systems.

  • Strong understanding of business process design, requirements documentation, and project management methodologies (Agile preferred).

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field; MBA/CFA is a plus.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience integrating AI solutions into business workflows (forecasting, NLP, risk modeling, portfolio analytics).

  • Exposure to digital transformation in financial services.

  • Familiarity with portfolio company operations and value-creation frameworks.

  • Experience coordinating across distributed teams in a fully remote environment.
