KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

Professional knowledge in statistical and predictive modeling techniques.
Professional experience in Python or R.
Professional experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms.
Experience querying databases in SQL.
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts ofinformation with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
Responsibilities:
1.Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for aspecific technical specialty.
2.Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high qualityservices/products. This is a professional position which may require subject matterexpertise consistent with demanding and rare technological skills.
3.May require coordination of programming activities being conducted by theapplication development team.
4.Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems ofintent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing and project design.
5.Works with necessary personnel to determine if modifications are necessary withinterested personnel to determine necessity for modifications or enhancements.
6.Leverages excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop newbusiness process and programming solutions as directed by business and technicalstakeholders.
7.May coordinate activities of application developers.
8.Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product.
9.Proven track record of hands-on technical design and code work within largecomplex systems.
10.Proven hands-on technical work with a variety of technologies.
11.Demonstrated technical expertise integrating a variety of diverse technicalenvironments and cross-platform technologies.
12.Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that requireintegration with statewide systems or applications.
13.Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.
14.Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.
15.May function as a niche technical SME (Subject Matter Expert).
16.Has proven experience across large and complex implementations andsystems.
Minimum Education - Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
MAJOR DUTIES:
Develops computational algorithms and statistical methods to findpatterns and relationships in multiple database sources.
Identifies and utilizes predictive modeling and machine learning techniques toimprove operational processes and agency's overall data quality.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gatheringtechniques.
Interpret data trends and present material using compelling data visualizations.
Works with senior officials throughout the organization to identify opportunities forbusiness solutions. Solves complex business process and information requirementproblems via a combination of analytic judgment, process improvement techniques,and proven analytic practices.
Coordinates with different business units within DLCP to implement tools to monitorand analyze performance outcomes.
Finds creative approaches and bring new perspectives on available data.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
