Prestigious Enterprise Security Services Company is currently seeking a Director for Presales Security Solutions Architecture. Candidate will directly manage a team of Solutions Architects and will spend ~30% of their time actively supporting key sales opportunities and escalations, while dedicating the majority of their focus to coaching, enablement, and building repeatable excellence in Commercial field engineering. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Commercial Solutions Architects supporting SMB and mid-market sales across North America. 
  • Ensure technical field support aligns with the Commercial growth goals, pipeline velocity, and customer experience expectations.  
  • Own and drive key team performance metrics including demo-to-close rates, POC success, and scalability of sales engineering tools and assets. 
  • Partner with Sales and Channel leadership to align SA coverage models, resource allocation, and enablement programs to regional revenue goals. 
  • Engage directly on key customer opportunities, complex POCs, and technical escalations that require executive-level support. 
  • Establish and refine best practices for efficient Commercial POCs, scaled demos, and repeatable field technical validation. 
  • Build and maintain technical enablement programs to accelerate ramp-up of new hires and ensure continuous learning in endpoint security, incident response, and ransomware resilience. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Partner teams to ensure field readiness and alignment with product roadmap and go-to-market strategy. 
  • Foster a culture of agility, collaboration, and excellence within the Commercial Solutions Architecture team.  
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of Solutions Architects to scale footprint in the SMB and mid-market space.
  • Maintain personal expertise in the latest trends in endpoint protection, ransomware defense, and incident response to mentor and guide the team. 
  • Travel domestically up to 40% to support team and customer engagements as needed. Candidates should be able to travel on short notice to meet customer or team needs. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years in cybersecurity or endpoint security roles, with at least 3 years leading high-performing Commercial or SMB-focused Solutions Architect or Sales Engineering teams. 
  • Proven expertise in Endpoint Security / EDR, Incident Response, and the Ransomware lifecycle. 
  • Demonstrated ability to scale technical sales programs and enablement for high-volume, fast-cycle sales motions. 
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and talent development skills with a track record of fostering strong team culture. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across customers, sales teams, and executive stakeholders. 
  • Experience building repeatable technical sales frameworks and improving conversion rates across Commercial segments. 
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on technical engagement during escalations. 
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent are a plus. 
  • Located in the Central time zone.
