Position Title: Engineering Manager Location: Linthicum, MD (Hybrid onsite 2 days a week Tues & Thurs) Clearance Requirements: Public Trust Position Status: Long Term Contract Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience


We re seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead technical teams in delivering innovative, high-impact solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving engineering excellence from concept to execution.

As Engineering Manager, you ll oversee cross-functional teams, guide product design decisions, and champion process improvements that elevate performance and quality. You ll collaborate across departments to align engineering efforts with broader business goals, while mentoring talent and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate engineering projects from initial planning through successful implementation
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers across multiple disciplines
Review and approve product designs, technical specifications, and change requests
Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to align engineering with strategic objectives
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and output
Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance in solving complex engineering challenges

Required Skills & Education
Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical field (Master s in Engineering or Business Administration preferred)
Minimum 4 years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership of mid to large-scale projects
At least 4 years in a managerial role within an engineering environment
Proven expertise in project management, strategic planning, quality control, and cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Ability to inspire and lead diverse teams toward shared goals
