Job Details

Description
Works as part of the Service Engineer team in the Service and Operations group.
Provides on-site and remote technical support and analysis on all aspects of end-user systems.
Diagnoses technical issues, assesses user needs and implements technical fixes for customers during working hours and after-hours as required by urgency of situation.
Collaborates with others to resolve end-point-related hardware and software problems.
Contributes to the Service and Operations knowledgebase and other documentation. Installs or upgrades equipment and software as required to provide needed capabilities for the end-user systems.
Works closely with the IT Service Desk to ensure ticket accuracy and timely resolution.
Conducts user training as needed. Participates in the tracking of IT assets via inventory system.
Assists in the research and implementation of new technologies and software tools for the company.
Trains other members of the team on support procedures and practices.
Participates on departmental and company-wide projects as a representative of the Service and Operations team.
Reviews knowledgebase submissions from peers and approves articles.
Administers and maintains the software systems and tools used by the Service and Operations teams.
Performs work related to changes to user network accounts, groups, and permissions.
Participates in departmental or company-wide projects as a representative of Service and Operations.
Collaborates with and directs others to resolve end-point-related hardware and software problems as needed.
Acts as product liaison between Service and Operations, Network and Platform Engineering teams for systems requiring support.
Coordinates and performs the work related to the installation and maintenance of hardware and applications used by the Service and Operations teams for administration.
Analyzes and identifies technology standards and requirements, provides recommendations, and performs or coordinates the work related to the complex installation of systems.

Preferred Knowledge:
Experience with scripting/automation tools
Experience with software deployment tools
Experience with patching of applications and systems
Experience with security/compliance tools ITSM/ITIL knowledge

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
