We are seeking a Research Analyst to join the Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) in Michigan. This role focuses on transforming processes and improving citizen experience by working closely with business stakeholders, technical staff, and Lean Process Improvement practitioners. The ideal candidate will conduct research, identify best practices, and help implement strategies to enhance continuous improvement efforts across state agencies.
Responsibilities
Conduct best practice research across private and public sectors.
Organize and evaluate both quantitative and qualitative research.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research topics.
Craft reports, presentations, and infographics for various audiences, including executives.
Generate insights from data and recommend actionable improvements.
Develop customized approaches, plans, and workshops to address business challenges.
Lead initiatives, coordinate with senior leadership, and align improvements with broader business strategy and KPIs.
Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops to gather and synthesize information.
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of research experience.
Strong understanding of ROI documentation for business initiatives.
Expertise in practical metrics integration and monitoring.
Experience creating research plans, white papers, and outcome reports.
Proficiency in crafting executive summaries and accompanying infographics.
Knowledge of Lean tools and PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
Skilled in leading workshops and developing metrics.
Ability to communicate findings clearly to audiences ranging from frontline staff to senior executives.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
