Job Title: Correspondence Consultant

Position Overview:
The Correspondence Consultant will support state client by managing and improving the quality, consistency, and efficiency of official written communications. This includes drafting, editing, and reviewing letters, emails, responses to public or legislative inquiries, and other formal documents. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, well-versed in government communication standards, and capable of coordinating with multiple departments to ensure timely, accurate correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft, edit, and proofread official correspondence on behalf of agency leadership, including responses to public inquiries, legislative requests, and internal communications.

Ensure written materials comply with agency style guides, tone, legal requirements, and state branding.

Track and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence using government systems or tracking tools.

Coordinate with relevant departments or subject matter experts to gather information necessary for accurate and timely responses.

Maintain templates, form letters, and standard operating procedures related to agency communications.

Provide guidance or training to staff on correspondence protocols and writing best practices.

Monitor and improve response timelines to meet performance or legal standards.

Prepare summary reports on correspondence trends and performance metrics when needed.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Administration, English, Political Science, or a related field.

Strong experience in professional writing, communications, or a similar role, preferably in a government or regulated environment.
- Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Candidate with Healthcare domain or Integration Eligibility preferred for this role .

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management/tracking systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Knowledge of state agency operations or public sector communication practices is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with state or local government agencies.

Familiarity with FOIA, open records laws, or public records compliance.

Experience using tools like SharePoint, Salesforce, or correspondence tracking systems (e.g., eCorrespondence, GovQA, etc.).
