Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Desk Support for a very important client.
Position Summary:
The IT Desktop Support Person reports directly to the IT Manager The IT Desktop Support person is responsible for supporting all technical Desktop support and personal computer operations as well as the computer hardware, software, operating systems, data communications, computer operations, including any manufacturing information technology devices, telecommunications, and the cabling setup for individual users and user support concerns.The IT Desktop Support person may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Installations and upgrades of systems and/or hardware and software to enhance work performances for users within the facility.( Support/train end-users with software & hardware issues)
Configure and install communications and PC hardware and software, perform problem diagnosis, and recommend solutions Processes software updates for systems.
Responsible for supporting computers, printers, network and badge system to included troubleshoot network problems with corporate IT and the IT Manager
Interface and support internal customers (production, quality, engineering, etc.)
Maintain compliance with the ESD procedure and assist others in maintaining compliance.
Troubleshoot, repair, order, activate and maintain user phones to included billing and utilization analysis
Troubleshoot, repair, update and maintain Surveillance Cameras
Responsible for IT Assets/ Inventory, Setting-up new employee Desks (Office), modifying desks
Set-up Workstations (Office, Production Floor, Warehouse) and Install and Move equipment
Monitor IT Watchdog-Temp reader
First tier troubleshoot and support Production Machines (in absence of Facilities)
Create IT Tickets to escalate issues to second and third level support (Germany)
Maintain compliance with the ESD procedure and assist others in maintaining compliance.
Create training Documents/ How to, and proposal Power Points
IT Project support and coordination as needed
Follows all health and safety policies at all times.
Performing related duties as assigned (Related duties as assigned are duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.)
Requirement:
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:
1-3 years of IT experience
Has the ability to communicate technical concepts to knowledgeable to non-technical audiences.
Possess a BA/BS degree in industrial, mechanical or business administration or equivalent experience
Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential, sensitive information, and professional courtesy with all internal and external contacts
Proficient with PC-based HW/SW, including Microsoft Office Suite, including basic to intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Lotus Notes, and other programs used by the facility
Possess a strong understanding of Active Directory operations: DC's, GPO's, OU's, DFS
Possess understanding of basic networking concepts, IP routing, layer 2 switching, VLANs
Proficient in network operations and systems administration; Windows server, VMWare, Lotus Notes and Microsoft applications
Familiarity with Linux OS and SAP.
Maintaining courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner and be able to provide clarification, as necessary.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, as well as partnering with business executives and operations leaders in order to develop appropriate solutions for desktop
Possess strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with both hardware and software
Must be able to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines; detail oriented; ability to multitask
Possess good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to individuals from multi-cultural backgrounds, and build trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results, at all levels within the organization.
Maintaining courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Develop and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and representatives of external organizations
Must be self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent relationship and time management skills
Must be able to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines
Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors, and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and goals.
This may include odd hour teleconferences with global facilities
This may include international travel to Germany for training
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic concepts of arithmetic
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to use common sense to solve practical problems
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
