Job Title: Senior Java Developer (Curam)
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 5 Months
Interview: In-Person Only

Job Overview:
We are seeking a senior Java developer with strong Curam experience to support operations and maintenance activities for a large-scale public sector application. This role requires a senior-level technical developer/programmer who can assume significant delivery responsibilities and act as an on-site point of contact for development-related questions and complex technical issues.

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior technical consultants, participate in design and development activities, and support full life-cycle application development using Curam Software.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in functional and detailed requirements development

  • Perform code development and unit testing

  • Support functional and detailed design activities

  • Participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions

  • Provide life-cycle management support for enterprise applications

  • Perform business and workflow process modeling and reengineering using Curam

  • Utilize COTS Curam Enterprise Framework components

  • Work with XML technologies within Curam

  • Report development status and issues to project leadership

  • Adhere to established IT policies, standards, and procedures


Required Qualifications:

  • Curam V6/7/8 Certified Developer (V8 preferred) 3+ years

  • 3+ years of experience as a Curam Developer across the full SDLC

  • Experience with Curam Enterprise Framework and Curam Solution Modules

  • Experience with Curam Intelligent Evidence Gathering (IEG2)

  • Experience with Curam Express Rules for Triage (CERT)

  • Strong problem-solving and system integration skills

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience creating technical documentation using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize complex technical tasks

  • Technical expertise in Java, J2SE, J2EE, XML, XSL

  • Experience with Eclipse, HTML, CSS, SOAP, and WSDL


Highly Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle databases and tools

  • Experience supporting state government IT systems


Desired/Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA

  • Experience with Curam Child Care Module

  • Experience with Curam Web Services

  • Experience with AWS or cloud-based development

  • Experience with Python programming

  • Experience with JavaScript and IBM WebSphere

  • Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services
