PLSQL Developer

Summary

• Oracle PL/SQL developer to create back-end software.
• This developer will work on existing mission critical applications.
• In this role, the developer must be able to interpret business requirement documents, write functional code and unit test. Additionally, the developer will be required to fix defects in legacy code.
• The developer should be a team player and excellent communicator and must be able to work with source control on multiple simultaneous branches.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Take direction from senior developers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software.
• Write clean, scalable code.
• Unit test and prepare applications for deployment.
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
• Deploy SQL scripts to test and production environments.
• Create documentation as required.
• Provide production support.
• Available to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 5 years).
• Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures.
• Ability to work with collections.
• Ability to work with async processes.
• Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions.
• Ability to create complex DML and debug.
• Ability to manage release deployments (deploy scripts).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Attention to detail is of the utmost importance.
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience.
