Summary
- Oracle PL/SQL developer to create back-end software.
- This developer will work on existing mission critical applications.
- In this role, the developer must be able to interpret business requirement documents, write functional code and unit test. Additionally, the developer will be required to fix defects in legacy code.
- The developer should be a team player and excellent communicator and must be able to work with source control on multiple simultaneous branches.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements analysis.
- Take direction from senior developers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software.
- Write clean, scalable code.
- Unit test and prepare applications for deployment.
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
- Deploy SQL scripts to test and production environments.
- Create documentation as required.
- Provide production support.
- Available to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 5 years).
- Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures.
- Ability to work with collections.
- Ability to work with async processes.
- Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions.
- Ability to create complex DML and debug.
- Ability to manage release deployments (deploy scripts).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Attention to detail is of the utmost importance.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience.
