Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's innovative electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer and clean energy company is looking for 2 Data Center Technician's to join their Sparks, NV team. The expectation is for this solid candidate to have experience with a low voltage company of at least one (1) year. They will understand what a rack is, what CAT6A means, and how to troubleshoot layer 1 ethernet connections.

Day to Day:
* Connecting patch cables & fiber jumpers
* Cleaning up and dressing cable in an idf closet
* Labeling cables
* Toning out drops
* Racking switches
* Removing old gear
* Connecting and managing power cables
* Dealing with ewaste and staging old gear for pickup

REQUIREMENTS:
* 1+ years of experience
* Experience with low voltage company with terminating 1000s of cables per month (preferred)
* Know how to rack equipment and familiar with CAT 6
* Must be flexible with schedule - may need to be open to night work or weekend work
* Self-disciplined
* Type-A personality who is excited to actually get the job done
* Able to hit the ground running
* Know to roll a fiber jumper or troubleshoot layer 1 ethernet connections

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
