Senior System Administrator

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior System Administrator to work on a government contract for a client located in Annapolis Junction, MD. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise.
• Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed designs for a specific Oracle product or technology.
• Provides implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement customer unique business processes and workflows.
• Performs routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls, and security.
• Performs system optimization, performance tuning and assists in capacity planning.
• Performs proactive analysis of potential issues, risks, and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, information technology, or relevant discipline.
• 10 years overall IT experience with at least 8 years of experience in a production System Administration role.
• Required skills and working knowledge in these technologies:
  • Linux - (CentOS/RHEL) administrator concepts and principles.
  • VMWare VM creation, configuration, and operation experience.
  • Enterprise Automation using Ansible.
  • Security + CE.
• Storage
  • Management (ex: LG, PV, LVM).
  • Protocols (ex: NFS, SAMBA, ISCSI).
  • SAN Storage configuration.
  • Understanding of network storage (ex. NAS and SAN).
• Networking
  • Understanding of networking concepts and principles.
  • Routing, IPSec.
• Security Compliance
  • YUM Patching.
  • IAVA Remediation.
  • Server certificate management.
  • Automation (ex. Ansible, Puppet, SALT).
  • SELinux.
• Authentication
  • Users and Group Management.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and DNS.
  • User certificate management.
• Scripting
  • Shell, Python preferred.
• Physical Server Administration

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
