Job Details
You will be responsible for installations, break-fixes, fiber cabling, decommissioning, and providing support to an enterprise data center.
2+ years of Data Center experience
Experience in troubleshooting Layer 1
- Rack/cabinet installations
- Install power strips within cabinets
- Power up cabinets, label rack,
- Plug in IT equipment using best practices for loading a cabinet and power strips.
- Unboxing of hardware and disposal of packing material
- Rack and stack of IT devices
- Configure ILO / IDRAC on servers/network gear
- Install all patch cords as required.
- Vendor access approval for break-fix activity and facility repairs.
Perform server hardware component replacement, including failed cards, memory, and hard drives.
Perform equipment decommissioning as requested, including:
- Removal of associated fiber and Ethernet cables
- Separate hard drives or other components as directed
