Location: Hybrid Philadelphia - 3 days a week on site
Duration: 6-12+ months with potential to convert permanent
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of technology projects within the healthcare payer domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and an in-depth understanding of payer systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA, and operations.
- Serve as the liaison between IT and business stakeholders to translate payer requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and executive-level communication.
- Track and report on key project metrics, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in healthcare payer or insurance technology projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare payer operations, claims processing (837/835), eligibility, benefits, and provider networks.
- Proven experience managing technical projects involving system implementations, integrations, or upgrades.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
