Pay Rate: $52.00 - $66.00/hour
Employment Type: W2 Contract (12+ Months)

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of technical writing experience in a regulated banking, audit, financial industry
- Direct experience with MRAs, consent orders, (ie: OCC, Federal Reserve) issue management, or regulatory closure packages
- Ability to translate complex controls and risk language into regulatory-ready narratives
- Experience with policy and procedure (P&P) writing
- Strong understanding of audit and exam management expectations
- Proven ability to interface with executive leadership and regulators
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Technical Writer to lead documentation efforts tied to regulatory exams, issue management, MRAs, and closure packages for a major financial institution. This role is not a traditional content writer-you must bring precision, control fluency, and the ability to synthesize risk, audit, and regulatory language into clear, exam-ready deliverables.
You will own the narrative development of critical regulatory communications and ensure alignment across risk, fraud, legal, compliance, and audit stakeholders.
This is a high-volume, high-visibility role. Candidates must be able to operate independently, make fast decisions, and maintain quality under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Writing & Documentation
-Own drafting of closure packages, policy documents, issue management responses, and exam artifacts
-Ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with regulatory expectations Content Development & Risk Translation
-Frame narratives that articulate the issue, corrective action, and outcome
-Eliminate ambiguity that leads to follow-ups or escalations Stakeholder Collaboration
-Work directly with SMEs, execs, and cross-functional risk teams
-Stay embedded in status calls to anticipate documentation needs Leadership & Quality Control
-Mentor junior writers and maintain high writing standards
-Lead internal consistency in tone, structure, and regulatory alignment
