Role: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect

Location: Seattle, WA (On-site)
Duration: Long-term (Consulting Opportunity)
Experience Required: 10+ years overall IT experience, with at least 3+ years as an AEM Architect

Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • Minimum 3 years as an Architect building AEM Sites.

  • Expertise with Adobe Managed Services and Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service.

  • Strong knowledge of AEM environment setup & infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Designing software change processes (on-prem & cloud).

    • Defining content models, templates, and components aligned with business needs.

    • Deciding between OOTB/core components vs. custom development.

    • Designing caching, load balancing, and security strategies (Dispatcher, Firewall, CDN).

    • Effort estimation for setup & feature delivery.

    • Internationalization & multi-site/multi-language support.

    • Integration of third-party & Adobe products with AEM.

    • Designing migration/upgrade strategies (products & content).

    • Deployment methodologies (content + code).

    • Defining authentication/authorization security models.

    • Persistence models (binary storage, deployment scenarios, etc.).

    • Workflow models for business processes.

    • Cloud-focused strategies: auto-scaling, replication, asset management, Cloud Manager, package management.

    • Performance tuning, penetration/security testing, and multi-channel content reuse.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Act as a recognized expert in AEM and Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions.

  • Lead large, multi-solution consulting engagements with clients & partners.

  • Partner with business & delivery teams to craft scalable solution architecture.

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Lead project discovery & delivery phases with Project Managers.

  • Analyze complex project issues, develop solution options, and present recommendations.

  • Independently drive consulting activities with minimal oversight.

  • Mentor and guide large technical teams across Adobe and partner ecosystems.

  • Contribute to the Adobe technical community with best practices & thought leadership.

  • Foster collaboration across consulting teams.

  • Willingness to work on-site with clients for extended periods.
