Job Details

We are seeking a Business Analyst in providing a strategy about migrating data into a new records management system. The primary focus of this role will be to analyze existing processes related to date entry within our current systems and develop strategies for capturing and migrating date-related data effectively into the new system. The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand existing date entry procedures, assess data formats and specificity, and recommend strategies for harmonizing date fields to ensure a smooth transition.

Responsibilities:
Identify and review current procedures for entering dates into existing systems, documenting the types of dates captured, the individuals responsible for data entry, and the significance of each date.
Engage with key stakeholders across departments to gather insights into existing date entry processes, including commonalities in date formats and levels of specificity.
Summarize findings based on user types, geographies, departments, and other relevant demographic data, identifying trends and patterns in date entry practices.
Collaborate with the project team to develop a strategy for harmonizing data within date fields to facilitate future migration to the new records management system.
Document the recommended date strategy, including any proposed changes to date entry procedures, date formats, or system configurations.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to the project team throughout the data migration process, addressing any issues or challenges related to date-related data migration.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience as a business analyst or data analyst, preferably with a focus on data migration projects.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data sets and identify patterns and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with records management systems or similar enterprise software solutions preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
