Position Title: AI Identity Architect (IAM & Agentic AI)
Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone preferred)
Clearance Requirements: None (U.S. Citizenship or required)
Position Status: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay Rate:
- All U.S. Locations: $152,700 – $266,000 base
- NYC Metro / Washington State / California (excluding Sacramento): $183,300 – $334,100 base
Position Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced AI Identity Architect to lead the design and governance of AI-driven Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across a global enterprise environment.
In this role, you will partner with security architecture, engineering, data, and business teams to integrate Agentic AI, automation, and intelligence into core IAM platforms. You will be responsible for translating complex business, operational, and security requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant IAM capabilities that align with enterprise technology and security strategies.
This position is ideal for a senior IAM architect who has hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms and is excited to apply AI/ML and agent-based architectures to identity lifecycle management, access governance, and risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and govern the integration of AI-driven and Agentic AI capabilities into enterprise IAM platforms
- Partner with IAM, security, and enterprise architecture teams to align AI-augmented identity solutions with business and regulatory requirements
- Design AI-enhanced IAM capabilities such as adaptive access control, identity analytics, predictive threat detection, and automated decisioning
- Define architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails for AI-assisted IAM services across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Establish governance models for the safe, auditable deployment of AI agents within identity and access workflows
- Define and enforce identity strategies for AI agents, including lifecycle management, entitlements, and ownership models
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on applying AI to identity operations, user experience, and security risk reduction
- Collaborate with data and platform teams to ensure alignment with enterprise AI governance, model management, and compliance frameworks
- Contribute to IAM roadmaps that balance strategic innovation and operational stability
Required Skills & Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 12+ years of overall IT experience, including:
- 8+ years in Information Security
- 6+ years in hands-on Identity & Access Management (IAM) roles
- 2+ years of experience architecting or implementing AI/ML or automation solutions, ideally within IAM or cybersecurity domains
- Strong experience with enterprise IAM platforms such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, Ping, SailPoint, CyberArk, or PlainID
- Proven ability to design and deliver IAM architectures, blueprints, roadmaps, and migration strategies
- Experience integrating AI systems using Model Context Protocol (MCP) or equivalent AI orchestration standards
- Knowledge of Agentic AI architectures, including multi-agent systems, LLM orchestration, and decision engines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for security controls and identity standards in modern development environments
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing or governing Agentic AI workflows for orchestration or decision automation
- Hands-on familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar)
- Experience explaining complex AI, identity, and security concepts to executive and business audiences
