The job profile for this position is Engineering Management Director, which is a Band 5 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.
Responsibilities-
As a Delivery Leader within Cigna's US Govt Technology Leadership team, define a multi-year technology roadmap to deliver initiatives tied to IT asset rationalization, platform upgrades, technology modernization, and application security enhancements by building scalable, resilient and high-performing IT systems on the healthcare platform.
Drive end-user experience on Cigna's Individual and Family Plan (IFP) platform by defining the product roadmap with the executive leadership team to deliver quantifiable business value with annual investments of $20M+.
Provide thought leadership to the most complex business problems in Cigna's US Govt. business through innovation and leading-edge automation technologies to build modern, user-friendly tools for business operations.
As a Sr. Technology Leader, coach and mentor technology leaders and managers to design, develop, and deliver secure and fault-tolerant systems following industry best practices using agile delivery methods.
Managerial responsibilities include hiring talent, directing and reviewing work of other managers, performance reviews of staff, and work with other leaders within the company to define a technology strategy that aligns with company's business objectives.
Manage relationships with Cigna's strategic vendors and resources to deliver portfolio initiatives within the allocated annual budget.
Partner with executive sponsors for funding related decisions by doing capacity-demand analysis, risk-benefit analysis and probability-impact analysis to deliver time-sensitive, and mission-critical projects.
Qualifications-
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computers or Engineering as well as 5 years of IT experience managing Agile delivery teams in the healthcare domain.
Must have experience with: design and development in large-scale modernization of IT applications running in a multi-clustered environment; performance tuning and troubleshooting of database (MongoDB) and multi-threaded applications using caching technologies such as Red Hat Data Grid; analyzing and troubleshooting thread dumps, heap dumps, and memory leaks on servers; design and development of Single Sign-On (SSO) web portals using SAML assertion-based authentication security, API Layer 7 security; Enterprise Integration Patterns using Event Streaming Architecture; AWS Cloud Development Experience on Amazon S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS or SNS, Lambda, EventBridge, and ElastiCache; Fuse; XML, XSLT, and FTL; J2EE, Spring, Spring Batch, and MyBatis; REST and SOAP.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
