Lead User Experience Researcher - MIXED METHODS

Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Lead User Experience Researcher to drive mixed methods research that informs investments across UKG's AI portfolio. You will work with cross-functional partners to identify critical features and experiences that deliver business & customer success. You'll play a leadership role in the UX Research team and the larger UX organization and report to the head of UX research.

About the role:
  • Define the research roadmap, execute the strategy and deliver critical insights that move the business forward.
  • Translate complex data and identify strategic opportunities. Lead cross-functional partners in ideation activities.
  • Be product opinionated, leveraging deep user, market, and competitor understanding to influence product strategy and user experience design.
  • Provide thought leadership by developing and socializing a strategic point of view on key topics. Advise senior stakeholders and inform north star direction.
  • Be a champion for a customer- and data-focused culture in UKG.
  • Raise the methodological bar within the User Research team and mentor other team members.
About you,

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of professional user research experience, with a demonstrated knowledge of User Experience best practices.
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • MS/BS/BA degree in Human Computer Interaction, User Experience/Usability, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Mastery in qualitative & quantitative methods, with demonstrated experience using them to solve strategic challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative and practical research approaches to complex design problems.
  • Experience facilitating design and ideation sprints. Familiarity with a variety of workshop methods and recipes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with research tools (eg, UserTesting.com, Qualtrics). Familiarity with usage analytics tools (e.g., Pendo).
  • Subject matter expertise related to workforce management, human resource management and/or talent management.
  • Experience with Enterprise software applications (highly preferred).

USA Pay Transparency:

The pay range for this position is $142,100 to $204,200, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
